Bounded Online Community Post

When an individual chooses to take a course online to learn about a particular subject, a community is the last thing one would expect but it is a valuable asset to a course. This is because the person is at home alone interacting online and by having a community online fosters a positive disposition towards the course and contributes to its effectiveness. By having the online learner feel as if they’re apart of a community they become more involved by working together as a team. One strategy that the online community must have is a Shared Goal because it unites the learners as a team with a specific task to complete. By having a Shared Goal in mind they also have to use Collaboration in order to be effective and successful. This could be done by breaking down the community into sub-groups who are all collaborating collectively to complete the Shared Goal.
