Pod Layout and Why:
In keeping with the 4 components of Merrill’s design, I am incorporating 4 Adobe screens. All screens will feature the presenter pod, the attendees pod , and the group discussion pod so that the group can see who is online and follow the class discussion.

The first screen, activation, will contain the agenda, as well as the first short video. It also features a pod to view the video as well as the discussion window. I learned from the second Facilitation exercise to include the discussion page with the video in case there is discussion while viewing.

The second screen, integration, will contain the slide show as well as a discussion board. Although this segment will be mainly lecture, it will incorporate a way to answer questions from students.

The third screen, demonstration, will feature the poll pod as well as a placeholder image (healthy food) and discussion pods. Students will interact via the poll, but can also use the discussion window for clarification.

The final screen, application, features some questions for the group, as well as healthy foods as placeholders to reinforce the concepts of low cholesterol dining. There is also the discussion window.
