Recording: The session will be recorded and archived on the Wine 101 course for participants who wish to access the lesson information at a later date.

Text and Audio Chat: Enabling these chat features will allow class participants to ask the instructor questions and engage in discussion with the instructor and other classmates.

Instructor Audio and Video: The instructor will provide both audio and visual feeds to help the class participants feel more connected to the instructor. I took a distance course last summer and the instructor only used the audio feed in Adobe Connect - it made me feel like I never got to know him and I would want to avoid that when facilitating a distance course.

File Upload of PowerPoint slides: The PowerPoint file will help students who are visual learners follow along with the lesson content.

Attendee List: My goal with the attendee list is to help the students feel more connected to one another by allowing all participants to see who else is in the Adobe Connect room. It should also help prevent people from talking over one another by allowing students to raise their virtual hands and seeing when other student’s microphones are in use.

Link Pod: Provide students the link to the You Tube video on the wine-making process and additional resources for individuals who may wish to learn more about this topic.
