The proposed lesson will be divided into four major segments. When participants enter the meeting room, they will see a PowerPoint slide with the session objectives. After reviewing the objectives, the instructor will direct students to a poll where they can assess their understanding of the content covered in a prior Adobe Connect session. In order to keep participants focused on the poll, the poll pod will be enlarged to fit the entire screen. Once the poll is closed, participants will return to a PowerPoint presentation. When the presentation is completed, the PowerPoint slides will be replaced with a new share pod containing a video clip. Throughout this part of the lesson, participants will be able to access the chat pod in the lower left corner of the screen. This allows students to ask questions or make comments at any point during the presentation. The camera and voice pod will also remain readily visible in the top left corner of the screen.

During the collaborative segment of the lesson, the screen will change to a “discussion” layout. The chat pod will be enlarged so that participants are better able to follow the discussions. A discussion notes pod will be used to remind students of the topics of the discussion. Finally, a file share pod will be placed in the upper right corner. This pod will contain additional resources that participants may choose to download.
