Describe all aspects of your content. Begin by stating the overall goal of the lesson. Then, explain each of the objectives you would like to accomplish during the lesson (What should the participants know by the end of the lesson). Finally, describe each segment of your lesson and what you plan to "teach" during that piece.

Describe how the strategies you use within the course supports your objectives and why you're using those specific strategies. Answer the questions of why you're using a particular method of instruction and how that relates to your goals and objectives.
  • What type of questioning methods are you using and why are those appropriate for this content and audience?
  • Why did you organize the content this way?
  • What is the purpose of the collaborative aspects of your lesson?
  • Did you use any role-play or break-out groups and why did you use those for that particular topic?
  • What type of assessment strategies did you implement and why?
  • Did you use any real-world scenarios or problem-based learning and what was the purpose of those strategies relative to the content and audience?
There are other questions you might want to answer, but these are a few to get you started.

Adobe Connect has a variety of features, some of which you will use during Facilitation Exercise Part 1 and Facilitation Exercise Part 2. Some of these features include: screen sharing, file uploads, polling, chat, whiteboard, break-out groups, etc. Decide which features within Adobe Connect will promote your participants' learning and why. How will these features help meet your objectives and how do these support your instructional design strategies?

Create a storyboard of your Adobe Connect room. How do you want to arrange your pods and what is the purpose for putting them in those particular places? You can also rename your pods, so you might want to consider renaming the pods to indicate a more specific purpose. In addition, you can create your own layouts and create new layouts for different segments of your lesson. You can see tutorials on how to change the pods and layouts in the Adobe Connect Resource Center under Tutorials & Articles > Meeting > Meeting Management. Your storyboard needs to be uploaded to this forum. Just click on Post a New Forum Topic and upload the file. Include a brief description of your design decisions.
